Vehicle Overturns on I-5 South of Maxwell

A Davis man suffers moderate injuries after striking a cement over-crossing embankment wall on Interstate 5.

23-year-old, Trevor Boretto of Davis, California was driving northbound on Interstate 5, just south of the Lurline Road over-crossing, in a 1998 BMW.

The California Highway Patrol reported that Boretto was traveling at an approximate speed of 70 MPH, when for unknown reasons, the Diver made a right hand turning movement causing his vehicle to leave the roadway, striking the concrete support embankment,

Boretto’s vehicle then traveled up onto the concrete support embankment and went airborne, overturning on three separate occasions.

Boretto’s vehicle then came to rest on its roof in the northbound lane of Interstate 5.

Boretto sustained moderate injuries as a result of the traffic collision and was transported to Colusa Regional Medical Center.

The California Highway Patrol said that the driver’s use of his seat-belt and the vehicle’s driver-side airbag deployment prevented him from sustaining more serious injuries as a result of the collision.
