RELIGION: Into the Twilight of Life

A series of three workshops in MARCH are planned to help people prepare for the “Twilight Years of Life.”  The Colusa Presbyterian Church, at 4th & Jay Streets in Colusa, will host the workshops scheduled for Thursdays, March 3rd, 17th & 31st, from 1-4 p.m., in the Fellowship Hall.

On March 3rd, the workshop will  be: “Take a Step into Aging,” with presentations on the Spiritual Dimension of Healthy Aging,  Exercise & Balance, Nutrition & Medical Well-Being,   Vision Care,  Meeting Caregiving  Needs, and Maintaining  Financial Health.

On March 17th,  the workshop  will  be: “Look Toward the End of Life,” with presentations on  Personal Decisions on Medical Care  & Health Directives, Legal Documents ( Wills & Trusts),  Funeral Planning, and Spiritual Comfort.

On March 31st,  the workshop  will be: “Face Death & Loss of a Loved One” with presentations on  Saying Goodbye, Meeting the Coroner,  Dealing With  Grief, and  a panel on Sharing the Journey.

At each workshop there will be an opportunity to ask questions.  Helpful handouts will be available, and refreshments served through the generosity of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

Since most of us will face the Twilight of Life, or care for others in its midst, everyone is welcome to attend any or all of these workshops at no cost.  For more information, contact Colusa Presbyterian Church at 458-2802.
