Jill Rominger (1958-2016)

OBIT - Jill RomingerJill Ohland Rominger, born December 4, 1958 in Yuba City, CA to Lester and Joan Ohland, passed away at her home in Arbuckle, CA on May 20, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

Jill grew up in College City where she attended local schools, graduating from Pierce Unified High School in 1977. Jill’s gentle and caring heart endeared her to family and friends. She will be remembered for her generosity for helping those in need. She had spent many years in Portland, Oregon working for Northwest Hardwoods, a division of Weyerhaeuser, before returning to California. Jill and Larry were married in 2010 and made their home in Arbuckle on his family almond ranch. Jill enjoyed traveling, especially those trips accompanied by her husband and friends.

She will be greatly missed by all those touched by her love, especially by her beloved husband, Larry.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lester Ohland, and her brother, Timothy Ohland.

Jill is survived by her husband, Larry Rominger of Arbuckle, CA, her mother, Joan Ohland and her brother, Martin Ohland of Post Falls, ID, her sister, Jolee (Rob) Wallace of Gold Hill, OR, her daughter, Beth (Kent) Salyer of Bend, OR, three sons, Brad (Tana) Dye of Colusa, CA, Timothy Morrow of Williams, CA, and Caleb (Laura) Ohland of Coeur D’Alene, ID, and grandchildren Joanne and Brandon Salyer, Lillian Dye, and Jaxon and Amelia Ohland. Jill is also survived by nephews, Jason of Eugene, OR and Clayton Wallace of Gold Hill, OR, and niece, Fallon Wallace of Denver, CO, three aunts, an uncle, and numerous cousins.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday May 26, 2016 at 11:00 am in the College City Cemetery under the direction of McNary-Moore Funeral Services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Arbuckle Fire Department, P.O. Box 727 Arbuckle, CA, 95912 or to the College City Cemetery, P.O. Box 311 Arbuckle, CA, 95912 or any charity of choice.
