Letter to the Editor: Citizens for a Better Williams, Thank you.

Dear Editor,

The Citizens for a Better Williams would like to extend our thanks to all the folks who came out to support the Badge Challenge for the benefit of the Williams Police Officers Canine Association.

To the competing teams of 2ndQue, Williams Fire, Defensor Fortis, Blueline BBQ, Sac. River Firefighters Inc. and The Williams Police Dept., we are incredibly grateful for your involvement and your support of our project. With your support, we were able to raise $5,000.

Thank you to all who bought tickets and offered their help and support through the process.  A special thank you goes out to our former Police Chief Jim Saso for helping us get the project underway this year.  He provided us with valuable information and the tools we needed to succeed.

Lloyd Green, Jr., always steps up and provides us with our poster and ticket designs and special thanks to the Williams Pioneer Review for the advertising and coverage of this event.

Our judges deserve a big thank you also.  It was a tough job, but somebody had to do it! Thank you, Margaret Harlow, Jane Christy, Jerry Maltby, Don Litchfield and Humberto Guerreva, you did a great job!

Louie Cairo’s donated the garlic bread and as always it was wonderful.

To all the members of CBW who went above and beyond selling tickets and getting the word out – thank you! You never let me down.

The food was great; the music is always good, and it was so nice to see so much support from all over the county.

We hope you all come back next year!

Onward and Upward.

Pat Ash

The Williams Pioneer Review has a small staff of one, covering all of Colusa County; but we’re proud to have the assistance of a large army of community contributors to extend our range and reach. This is one of those stories. If you have a story you would like to share, please email them to: publisher@s681654294.onlinehome.us or give us a call.
