Celebrate the Season of Giving with BloodSource, Community blood drives to be held

It’s the season of giving and the gift of blood could be the best gift to give this holiday season.

BloodSource will be hosting two blood drives in the communities of Colusa and Williams.

Colusa’s blood drive will be held Thursday, Dec. 8, from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM in the Bloodmobile parked at 801 Colus Ave, in Colusa.

Williams blood drive will be held Monday, Dec. 19, from 2 PM to 6 PM in Granzella’s Banquet Center, 457 Seventh St. in Williams.

Participants will receive a Free BloodSource t-shirt as well as MyBloodSource reward points. Make sure a blood donation is on your to-do list this December.

Donating blood is safe, easy, and takes about an hour. Donors must weigh at least 110 pounds, and be at least 18 years of age. Children aged 16 and 17 can give blood with consent of a parent or guardian. There is no upper age limit. Donors must bring a photo ID and drink plenty of fluids prior to donating.
