Over the past couple of weeks the Colusa County Sheriff’s Office, Colusa County Sheriff’s Office, Colusa County District Attorney’s Office, Colusa Police Department, Williams Police Department, Colusa County Probation Department, and Colusa County Task Force all took part in executing four separate search warrants related to stolen property, drugs and illegal firearms.
“The search warrants were served in the City of Colusa on separate dates,” said Sgt. Mike Bradwell.
During the course of serving the search warrants at the 200 block of third street, on Dec. 15, Monica Crabtree, 39 and Wayne Deniz, 28 both of Colusa were arrested on charges of felons in the possession of a firearm.
The arrests lead investigators to a search warrant and arrest of Juan Martin Alvarez, 41 of Colusa for the possession of stolen property as well as charges for drug paraphernalia.
Colusa County Sheriff’s Office investigators took the lead on one search with District Attorney’s Office investigators being lead on the other three warrants. Both Williams Police Department and Colusa Police Department K-9 Units were used during service of the warrants.
“It is also great to see the cooperation and collaboration between all the agencies, working together within the community. From our agency leaders to the front line patrol officer,” said Bradwell. “We take pride in protecting and serving our communities.”
Bradwell also commented that he was impressed with both K-9 units and was excited to have these valuable resources available within the county.
