Curtis Birge (1945-2017)

Curtis Birge passed away peacefully at his home on August 29, 2017, at the age 72. Curtis was born on January 28, 1945, in Long Beach, CA, to David LeRoy and Dessie (January). He was one of six children.

Curtis was a veteran of the Army, serving most of his time abroad. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, who liked the outdoors and wildlife in particular. He was also a good carpenter and dabbled in making and restoring furniture.

Curtis is survived by his four siblings and his children; Jackie Birge (John Vick), Bobbie Kjenstad (Jason), Emily McCall (Billy), and Erin Birge, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, sister Debbie Johnson, and son Shawn Birge.

There will be no services, however, there will be a celebration of life reception held 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM on September 9, at the Colusa Assembly of God Church, 1747 State Hwy 20, Colusa.
