The two individuals who were arrested in connection with the robbery and shooting near Colusa Casino on Feb. 6 are set to appear in the Colusa County Superior Court today to enter pleas.
The cases for Shantrice Nicole Moon-Gomez, 20, and Ysidro Chico Arismendez, 33, are on the calendar for 8:30 AM in the Colusa County Superior Court Annex.
The pair were arraigned in the Colusa County Superior Court on the afternoon of Feb. 9.
Arismendez is being charged with second degree attempted murder and attempted second degree robbery, as well as three special allegations for each of those crimes. He is also being charged with possession of a firearm by a felon. Colusa County District Attorney Matthew Beauchamp said at the arraignment that, due to the special allegations, Arismendez could potentially be facing a life sentence. He is being held without bail at the Colusa County Jail.
Moon-Gomez was arraigned on a charge of attempted second degree robbery, in addition to a special allegation that could result in an additional and consecutive prison term of one, two, or three years. Superior Court Judge Jeffrey A. Thompson set Moon-Gomez’s bail at $100,000 during her arraignment.
Moon-Gomez and Arismendez both indicated they would be hiring their own attorneys, who are set to make their first appearance in court today. ■
