Richard B. Hagle (1935-2018)


Richard B. Hagle was born in Eureka on Dec. 12, 1935, and passed away on Feb. 21, 2018.
Richard graduated from Colusa High School in 1954 and joined the USAF with four classmates, he received an honorable discharge in 1958. He continued in school with friend Dan Garcia at Yuba College becoming Student Body President.

Richard graduated from USD veterinary school and was in private practice in Woodland for over 30 years. Richard was a member of the US Army National Guard obtaining the rank of Colonel before retiring. Richard is survived by wife Colonel (Ret) Diana Woodward-Hagle of 36 years, son Kurt, daughters Susan , Laura, and Polly.

A military service and interment was held at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA on April 27.

The family requests contributions in his memory be made to the Sacramento Vally Veterinary Medical Association, or the SPCA of Sacramento, or Marines Memorial Foundation of San Francisco, or Yolo Hospice of Woodland.
