Our Angel, Sylvia Cervantes of Colusa, passed away Thursday evening, September 13, 2018 in Chico, California. Sylvia, age 70, is survived by her Husband Raymond, and Daughters Sara and Anita (FitzGerald), Brothers Frank (Anita) and Len (Angela), Aunt Rosetta, her many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins, her Cervantes family, and many long-time, long-lasting friends.
Sylvia is remembered for her dedication to her husband and daughters, her Bookkeeping Business, and had always impacted others in the most positive ways. Sylvia loved hosting her annual themed Holiday party, and was always just a phone call away. Our Mum will always be remembered for her smile, class and wit, her strength, tenacity, and courage.
Sylvia moved to the States in 1971 after growing up in London, and later enjoyed adventures to Italy, England, Vegas, Lake Tahoe, and seeing Wimbledon Live. Sylvia was a talented cook, and loved spending time with friends and family. As a youth, Sylvia spent time playing netball, seeing live bands, and being a big Sis to her Brothers.
A Graveside Service will be held at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA on Thursday, September 27, 2018 beginning promptly at 2:30 p.m., and will conclude at 3 p.m. A “Day of Remembrance” for Sylvia will be Saturday, September 29, 2018 1-5 p.m., at the Colusa Casino’s “Community Center” 3730 Highway 45, Colusa, CA. 95932. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Enloe HomeCare & Hospice, and is greatly appreciated.
