Notice of Public Hearing for
Submittal of State CDBG Application

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Williams will conduct a public hearing on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 6:00 PM at Williams City Hall located at 810 E Street, Williams, CA  95987.  The purpose of the public hearing is to discuss the submittal of an application in response to the 2018 State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA), and to solicit citizen input. 

The Administration Department on behalf of the City of Williams is applying for a grant of $3,000,000 and the approval to expend approximately $200,000 in existing or anticipated Program Income under the NOFA for the following eligible activities:

General Administration $209,302

Public Improvements (Water/Sewer) $2,093,024

Housing Rehabilitation Program $232,558

Homeownership Assistance Program$465,116


The purpose of the public hearing is to give citizens an opportunity to make their comments known on the proposed activities/application.
