Colusa Police arrest two on drug and weapon charges


Just before 3 AM on Saturday, Mar. 2, the Colusa Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highway 45 and North Ave. and arrested David Fuentes, 26, of Maxwell, and Erick Fuentes, 27, of Gridley.

“Both were found to have loaded concealed handguns on their persons [and inside the vehicle],” the department said on its Facebook page. “They also were both in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.”

Officers conducted a further search of the vehicle and found a sawed-off shotgun in the trunk.

“Both subjects were found to be convicted felons and to be in possession of ammunition,” the department said. 

Erick and David were arrested and booked into the Colusa County Jail. ■
