At approximately 11:05 PM on Saturday, April 26, emergency services were dispatched to the Arbuckle Golf Club for a reported golf cart collision with injuries.
The Arbuckle Fire Department and Enloe EMS administered medical aid to 22-year-old Colt Ornbaun, and 23-year-old Mariah Diaz, both of Arbuckle.
The CHP reported that Ornbaun was driving the cart with Diaz as the passenger when for unknown reasons Ornbaun turned a sharp right while on a downward slope causing the golf cart to overturn and ejecting both occupants.
As a result of being ejected, Ornbaun sustained major injuries to the head and was transported by REACH Air to UC Daivs Medical Center, and Diaz sustained major injuries to her arm and was transported by Enloe EMS to Woodland Memorial Hospital.
The CHP said in its initial report that alcohol may have been a factor in incident and is still under investigation. ■
