Tuesday was the official beginning of the 2020 election season.
Candidates running for Supervisors in the 2020 Presidential Primary for Districts 2, 3, and 4 now have until Dec. 6 to file their declarations of candidacy with the Office of the Colusa County Clerk-Recorder.
March 3 is the Election Day, moved up three months from longtime June primary.
Supervisors Kent Boes (District 3) and Gary Evans (District 4) have announced they will run for reelection. Supervisor John Loudon announced he will not seek re-election, which will push the extended candidacy filing period for District 2 (only) until Dec. 11, according to Clerk-Recorder Rose Gallo-Vasquez.
There are no other local offices in Colusa County slated for the March Primary.
You must be registered or re-registered to vote 15 days before the election.
Vote by Mail ballots will start going out of Feb. 3.
